Made with love in Georgia.

As a child, my Mom taught me to use a sewing machine and I made simple things like pillows. I grew up thinking that when you started your own home, a sewing machine was a staple. Sew, before I was married, I bought a machine and took a quilt class. However, this class was all done by hand. I’ve often been grateful for that class because it gave me a great foundation in the quilting world. Then, I took a log cabin class pieced by machine. I picked out all solid fabric and I remember the shop owner asking me, are you sure you don’t want to add some prints? I knew I wanted solids and in the end, she loved it too! Without knowing it, my Aunt had started quilting too. She has become my biggest influence in quilting over the years. I quilted by hand for many years and then started dreaming of owning a longarm. That dream is now a reality and I’m loving every minute of it!

Sew…. That’s my sewing background. Personally, I am a Daughter, Wife, and Momma. We have two boys that have grown up and are serving in the Army and Air Force. I’m also excited to have a daughter-in-law! I’ve been outnumbered for years! I named my business Thirty 4 Stiches to honor my husband. He has been so supportive of my dreams and has taught me to dream bigger than I would have ever imagined. He drove a dirt track race car (modified street class) and his number was 34. I’m excited to see what each of you create and discuss how the quilting can enhance your quilt. I’m looking forward to our journey through quilts.
